Shure Stylus Force Gauge - The Shure SFG-2 Stylus Tracking Force Gauge is the industry standard. This simple-to-use measuring device was developed to give listeners a way to insure against the problems caused by improper tracking force settings, which include mistracking, excessive record and tip wear, and poor sound reproduction.
This gauge is a highly accurate beam balance instrument designed to measure the actual downward force exerted by a stylus on a record over the range of 0.5 to 3.0 grams. Each gauge is individually factory calibrated, and displays readings in 0.05 gram increments in order to provide a precise measurement of stylus tracking force.

Music Hall Turntable Mat - Kick out the jams with our new cork record mat. Instruments pop to life. Crackle is reduced. Vocals are clearer and more dramatic. The background is quieter, soundstage wider and deeper. How does this thing work? The secret is in the 12 isolation discs surrounding the outside of the mat and the single larger disc for the center label. The discs lift and support the record while floating it above and decoupling it from the platter. This lowers record vibration and reduces acoustic feedback. Stylus tracking is improved and record wear reduced. The mat eliminates the grunge and leaves behind a rich, clear, dynamic sound.
Cork is the perfect material. It sucks up unwanted vibrations and releases the life and energy of the music. It’s naturally non-static and non-adhesive making the mat perfectly safe for use on all platters and it won’t harm your records. Milty Zerostat 3 - In the laboratory the Milty Zerostat keeps film glass plastic ware and lenses dust and lint free. It also prevents charged particles from flying during weighting or transfer of particles. And the Zerostat gun finds wide use among those who possess and maintain phonograph record collections.
Each Zerostat unit is shipped with complete instructions and information about a special 'Test Procedure' to validate that the unit is working properly. Each Zerostat unit has a 'two cycle' type of operation, when the trigger is squeezed, positive ions are generated and when the trigger is relaxed, negative ions flow. This means that it is possible to induce a charge on a neutral surface using the Zerostat. If the trigger is squeezed and the Zerostat is then removed from the surface (before allowing the trigger to return to its original position) a positive charge will be induced. Similarly, pointing the Zerostat at the surface only for the release of the trigger will induce a negative charge.
Each squeeze of the trigger results in a discharge, when stated in units of charge, is 1.5 Coulombs. One can reasonably expect on the order of 10,000 such 'squeeze cycles' during the lifetime of the Zerostat. The Zerostat needs no batteries or electrical supply nor does it contain any radioactive components.
The Zerostat is lightweight highly portable and easy to control and handle.
